How to Batch Convert Many Audio Files at Once and Download Them as a ZIP
Converting audio files one by one is slow and easy to get wrong. If you have a folder of recordings that all need the same format or sample rate, batch conversion saves time and keeps the results consistent.
Step by step
- Open convert.sayvoi.com.
- Add all your files at once: drag them into the box, or tap it and select multiple files.
- Choose the output format, the sample rate and the channels. These settings apply to every file in the list.
- Press Convert all. Each file shows its own progress and status.
- When at least two files are finished, press Download all (ZIP) to get everything in one file named
sayvoi-converted.zip.
How the output files are named
Each output keeps the original name with the new extension. If you change the sample rate, a suffix such as _16k or _44.1k is added. If two files end up with the same name, the ZIP adds a number in brackets, for example take (2).wav, so nothing is overwritten.
Tips for large batches
- Convert in groups. Your browser keeps the audio in memory while it works. For hundreds of files, work in groups of a few dozen.
- Keep the tab open and, on a phone, keep the screen on until the batch finishes.
- Test on one file first. Check the sample rate, channels and format of the result before converting everything.
- The daily limit is 15 files per day for free. It resets the next day.
- If the ZIP does not start downloading, a link appears next to the buttons. Tap it to download.
Check what you converted
Each file shows its source and target values (for example, 44.1 kHz stereo to 16 kHz mono), so you can confirm the settings before downloading. If you are preparing recordings for a project, see what voice-data projects usually require.
